PTZ camera tracking

“PTZ cameras are excellent for capturing the best shot of each participant, but the challenge is deciding who should be on screen at any given moment. While the chairperson is the obvious first choice, other participants also need to be shown from time to time. To solve this, participants need a priority sequence so that when the current speaker turns off their microphone, the Zoom feed seamlessly switches to the next highest-priority person.

That is why we developed our new microphone system. Each microphone is assigned its own priority level. When a speaker turns off their mic, the system automatically cycles through the hierarchy to the next level, ensuring that the person with the highest remaining priority is always the one featured on screen.”

“While PTZ cameras are great at tracking and getting the perfect shot, the real question is: who should the camera focus on? Naturally, the chairperson is the default, but other speakers need their time on screen, too. We realized that participants need a ranked order. This way, the moment someone finishes speaking and mutes their mic, the camera instantly cuts to the next most important person on the Zoom call.

To make this happen, we developed a smart microphone system. Every microphone in the room has a built-in priority level. When a mic is turned off, the system instantly evaluates the remaining active mics and shifts focus down the line. Ultimately, it guarantees that the highest-priority speaker is always the one kept in the spotlight.”

Therefore, we developed a custom microphone solution where each mic holds a specific priority level. When a microphone is turned off, the system automatically delegates the camera focus to the next mic in the sequence, ensuring the highest-priority participant remains on screen.”

“PTZ cameras easily capture individual shots, but managing screen time is difficult. While the chairperson is the primary focus, other speakers also require visibility. We needed a priority-based system so that when one person mutes their microphone, the Zoom camera automatically switches to the next relevant speaker.
